La Academia de Filmes de Ciencia Ficción, Fantasía y Horror ha anunciado los nominados para la 34 edición de los Saturn Awards, que son liderados por 300 con 10 nominaciones, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix con 9 y Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street con 8 nominaciones.

A continuación encontramos las aventuras The Golden Compass, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End, y Spider-Man 3 con 4 nominaciones y a The Bourne Ultimatum, Eastern Promises, Enchanted, Grindhouse, The Mist, No Country For Old Men, Stardust, y There Will Be Blood con tres nominaciones cada una.

Por estudios, Warner Bros. es el ganador con 23 nominaciones seguida por Paramount con 22 nominaciones, aunque estas incluyen las de Paramount, DreamWorks/Paramount, y Paramount Vantage.

La Academia de Filmes de Ciencia Ficción, Fantasía y Horror, fundada en 1972 por Donald A. Reed, es una organización sin fines de lucro que se dedica a honrar, reconocer y promover estos géneros en la industria del entretenimiento.

Según informó su presidente, Robert Holguin, la ceremonia de los Saturn Awards se llevará a cabo el próximo 24 de junio en Universal City, California.
